Who Is For The Hidden?
Welcome to For The Hidden. We are an altruistic lifestyle brand raising awareness of lesser-known social and environmental issues that impact us all.
Our mission is threefold: Educate (through social media, podcasts, and website articles), Seek (by crowdsourcing information about the people and organizations who are making a difference), and Serve (actually going out and doing the work). With help from our community, we will be uncovering topics ranging from the shortcomings of foster care to the ways you can make a difference in the declining bee population. Some issues are gut-wrenching to consider but we promise to mix in some “easier on the heart” topics as well. The time spent on each campaign isn’t fixed and will vary from issue to issue but we will never close any of them. These problems aren’t going away and neither are we. As a movement, all we can do is try our best to help those people, animals, and things that need help.
If you’re reading this on our website then you’re ahead of the game and already know about our online store. A portion of all proceeds from the store goes to our mission of being a voice for the voiceless. The designs we offer let you support a good cause and look good while doing it. If you do decide to grace us with a purchase, be sure to leave us a review and let us know what you think about our gear. Our intention is to have your purchases sustain the costs of creating this content and, eventually, allow us to expand our reach even further. At the moment, this is a passion project for us and it would be a living dream to commit all our time to this endeavor. Our goal is to serve our communities, and your purchases, your support, and your interaction are what make that possible.

Most of our interactions with you, our philanthropic tribe, will be on social media. On Instagram @for.the.hidden and on Facebook. We post daily and encourage interaction and engagement with our content. Please follow along and share our posts with your friends and family. Like, comment, and subscribe, as they say. It takes a village to get things done and we at FTH want to “Be the village”. Participation is paramount with any campaign, and this one will require an all-hands-on-deck approach. As mentioned earlier, all our campaigns are open-ended. We want you to keep us updated if you learn anything about an issue we’ve covered. No one person or group knows everything, but together we can educate each other and help to make a brighter future for the next generation.
Here on the website, we offer articles and resources to get you on your way to taking action - be that donating, volunteering, or getting directly involved in something new. The three of us will write blogs and make videos about the issues in our campaigns. Guest writers will also be contributing to our site with fresh perspectives and expert opinions. On that note, if you feel moved to write on a topic, please send it to us! Content from the community is always welcome, and as long as it adds positively to the conversation (and isn’t a hate-filled conspiracy manifesto), we will add it to our content and credit you for your contribution.
We also have a podcast. You can find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere else you find your podcasts. Just search “For The Hidden”. Each episode will dig deeper into the issues we are covering and also report on happenings within our community of action-takers. We will get each other’s takes on the topics of concern and interview experts and other knowledgeable guests to find ways to take action for good.
“Do Good, Be Good”.
That’s the motto. If you’ve ever felt unworthy to join up with a cause because you thought you weren’t good enough, or because you weren’t fully educated on something, or because you might mess up, f*#k that! Understand that there are no prerequisites to being a ‘good person’. You just have to start doing good things. It’s that simple. One step at a time.
We don’t say “Be good, do good”, because that infers a need to have a certain quality before you can participate in an altruistic activity. I know it’s just semantics, but it’s worth noting. No matter your current situation, you can be an activist for someone who cannot act, a voice for someone without a voice, and a movement for something that cannot move. So, get out there and do some good because trust us, it feels good.
